New stone church building with modern flexible worship space, classrooms, kitchen, and offices, along with an efficient geothermal heating and cooling system.

    MAIN ENTRY

The main entry into the church is through the stone tower with a glass door and arched windows flanked by two tall red shutter doors. The three dormers on the roof bring light down into the worship space.

    BUILDING MATERIALS

Traditional building materials such as local stone, cedar wood siding, and copper were utilized to design a church building that blends into it's natural environment.

    DAYLIGHT

The three dormer windows on the roof bring natural light into the worship space. These square windows flare out in three dimensions into a larger square diffusing the light and creating unique light patterns.

    MAIN HALL

The main hall was designed to be a flexible space that could be used for both a worship space and a multi-purpose room. The Chancel platform is modular and can be moved and set up in different configurations.

    BAPTISMAL FONT

The baptismal font is placed near the entry to the sanctuary and has a continual flow of water down the side and onto the floor where Mercer tiles have been incorporated into the design. The decorative railing can removed during a baptism allowing the new believer to stand in the flowing water.

    STEEPLE

The copper steeple was custom designed for this building. The frame is constructed out of wood and steel then sheathed in copper with a ball and cross on top. Over time the copper steeple will turn patina green.

    INSULATED CONCRETE FORM

The exterior walls are constructed with insulated concrete forms. The insulated form is stacked up like 'Legos' forming the wall which is then poured solid with concrete creating a highly insulated and solid wall.
